These are only necessary for DirecTV Para Todos (the Spanish language stuff), the HDTV channels, NASA TV and some of the locals markets. Some DTV setups have oval dishes with 2 or 3 LNB’s on the end, and those actually receive signals from 2 or 3 different satellites. But either of those would still affect all of the channels on the same transponder. With a typical DirecTV setup you’re aiming at one satellite. It could be as simple as dish pointing or a bad connection. That will give me a better picture of exactly what's wrong. Better still, go to your setup screens and check the signal levels BY TRANSPONDER.
